It's really satisfying to collect trash and reuse it. That way you feel like you're really truly recycling. When I was in Mexico, I collected colorful plastic bags from the streets, washed them in the shower, dried them, then crocheted them.

I recently started crocheting items from plastic bags. I hope that community pressure worldwide will encourage companies and consumers to be more responsible with their plastic bag consumption. Eventually maybe there won't be any more bags for me to use for crochet projects, but for now, I recycle bags by crocheting them. This blog is a place for me to display my work.
